Lots of iPad news – Catch up.
It’s been a busy weekend for iPad news, so lets recap on all thats been happening.
Official Availability.
April 3rd has been confirmed as the iPad (WiFi) US release date. Slightly later than anticipated which has been attributed to hardware production problems or software production problems depending on who you trust. Personally, Im plumping for a hardware supply issue.
When can you order?
Pre-Orders for the US begin on 12th of March – Orders from the Apple Store or reserve and pickup at and Apple Retail store.
Worldwide availability.
Rest of the world will have to wait a little longer, however they will get access to the whole range of iPads, WiFi and the 3G at launch, all models will be available in the UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland in late April.
Pricing
Still no official prices of anything but $US, MacWorld UK estimate the following due to some recent $-£ fluctuations, these prices include VAT.
iPad Wi-Fi: £417 (16GB); £500 (32GB); £584 (64GB)
Wi-Fi + 3G: £526 (16GB); £610 (32GB); £693 (64GB)
First iPad TV add aired.
During the Oscars Apple ran it’s first iPad TV add showing the iPad in full flow being used in a range of ways viewing a movie, reading an eBook, displaying photos, editing an iWork document and viewing email.


Does anybody at iPad Review know of anybody who is planning on using iPads architecturally ie built into walls; part of a building with a view to using them as control systems or instruction units?
