Ecell iPad case available in UK now

Looking for a cheap iPad case in the UK? The Ecell iPad case maybe for you.
I’ve just purchased one from eBay E-Cell Global for the princely sum of £9.95 inc of postage and packaging.
Here’s the advertising blurb…..

This back stand conveniently allows you to position your iPad horizontally, making it easy to view videos, pictures, web pages, or emails without holding the iPad. Its magnetic shut closure system is safe and secure while the soft leather lining offers maximum protection for your iPad.
You can now preserve the new look of your iPad, provide impact & shock protection and keep the compact dimensions of your iPad with this fantastic looking case!”
So what is it like? First impressions, it’s cheap…. with this case you do get what you pay for! It’s not horribly cheap, but it does not hold up to close investigation….
So what are the problems?
Stitching is not 100% straight or tidy.
The iPad seems to fit a little too snug, causing the leather to bulge rather than lie flat. I hope overtime it will stretch a little and the bulges will be less prominent.
The clasp is too large, when closed it leaves a visible gap between the cover and the case holding.
When the stand is used, the iPad slips slightly out of the case.
Even if the iPad is pushed as far back in the case as possible the external connection does not line up 100% with the case.
Conclusion.
So it’s terrible right? Well no, for the money I think it’s a worthwhile investment to protect your iPad especially as finding an iPad case in the UK is nigh on impossible currently.
It’s not perfect by a long way, It’s almost as if they designed and created the case just using the specifications from Apple to the iPad dimensions without seeing how the actual device would sit in the case.
It’s quality is average at best but for the money, it’s a worthwhile purchase to protect my iPad for now.

I have the exact same case for my imported to UK ipad and agree 100% with all these comments. Mine is exactlty the same and my thaughts on it identical!
