Cool Bananas iPad sleeve

Lets be honest, the iPad is a thing of beauty, slim, well designed, made from great materials etc. It does seem a real shame to house it in any sort of body case like the official Apple case. Using a sleeve is the perfect way to transport your iPad then let pull it out of the safety of the sleeve and use it as it’s designed to used… naked!
If you do opt for a sleeve protection over a full case, your sleeve does need to match the same sort of quality and design of the iPad, and I think the Cool Bananas Envelope fits the bill perfectly.
This is the first iPad sleeve I’ve taken a look at, to give it it’s full title the ‘Cool Bananas Envelope V1 Leather Case’
Before I start, the pictures below may look a little “off” this is due to my iPhones white balance as I took the pics in bright sunshine! The sleeve is actually white, not the ivory colour it may look like in the pictures!
The retro design of the case is something that appeals to me, the envelope design is tidy and good looking. A fitting place to house your “magical” iPad. (I wonder when Im allowed to stop calling it Magical?)
It’s made from a leather like material that feels very durable and looks like leather under close inspection. The stitching is of high quality, no loose threads and very tidy.
Externally the sleeve is embossed with the Cool Bananas logo, which is tasteful to my eye’s and not too big or obvious.
Inside the case your ipad slips into a soft grey velour inner lining which seems to offer good protection from minor shocks. The clasps are magnetic and align very well, they are also in keeping with the look of the sleeve.
The case is not re-enforced with any harder materials so it remains flexible, it is padded so it’s ideal for protecting your iPad in your bag, but don’t sit on it!
The reverse of the case is plain, no pockets or detail. Simplicity is best sometimes.
Conclusion.
This is a great iPad sleeve, simple nice design and well made. It looks good when you remove your iPad from it at meetings, Im always asked about it almost as much as the iPad itself currently! As long as your ok with having a ‘naked’ iPad when your using it this sleeve is great for anyone looking for an eye catching yet understated travel protection for their iPad.
